Tooth Extractions In Mukilteo

Gentle and Professional Tooth Extractions in Mukilteo

At Harbour Pointe Dental Arts, we always strive to preserve your natural teeth—but in some cases, a tooth extraction becomes the healthiest choice. Whether it’s due to severe decay, infection, or crowding, Dr. Cline performs tooth removals with care and precision to ensure your comfort and a smooth recovery.

Dr. Cline uses modern techniques and local anesthesia to make the procedure as painless as possible. For most patients, the process is quick, and we provide detailed aftercare instructions to support proper healing. In certain cases, we may discuss options for replacing the extracted tooth, such as dental implants or bridges, to restore function and appearance.

When Is a Tooth Extraction Needed?

Severely Decayed or Damaged Tooth

When a tooth is too damaged to be restored, extraction may be the only option to protect your oral health.

Impacted Wisdom Teeth

Wisdom teeth that don’t fully erupt or grow in at an angle can cause pain, crowding, or infection.

Advanced Gum Disease

Gum disease can weaken the support around a tooth, making removal necessary to preserve surrounding structures.

Overcrowding Before Orthodontic Treatment

Removing one or more teeth can create the space needed to properly align your smile with braces or Invisalign.

Common Questions We Hear

How much does a tooth extraction cost?

The cost of a tooth extraction can vary depending on factors like the complexity of the case (simple vs. surgical extraction), the location of the tooth, and whether sedation is needed. During your consultation, we’ll review your treatment plan and provide transparent pricing along with available insurance or payment options.

What is the recovery time after a tooth extraction?

Tooth extraction recovery time can vary by patient and the type of extraction. Most people recover within a few days to a week. You may experience some swelling or mild discomfort for the first 24–48 hours, which is manageable with rest, proper aftercare, and over-the-counter pain relief.

What can I expect during tooth extraction recovery?

We’ll give you clear instructions for a smooth recovery, including what to eat, how to keep the area clean, and when to avoid certain activities. It’s important to follow these closely to reduce the risk of complications such as dry socket and to promote faster healing.
